We booked a tour with Paddywagon as they are perfect when you don't have the time to organize it on your own and on top of this Irish guides are always super fun.
Cost/person is 39 Euro out of Cork Bridge St Tourist Office (next to St Patrick's Bridge) Departs: 8:30ish AM Returns: 7 PM Killarney
The tour starts with a 1.5h, mainly highway, drive till the city of Killarney. If it is not too cold you can get a carriage tour till the castle once there. We did not mange as we had to sort some personal problems but we could go around and see the rest of the city.
Bog Village
Our next stop was at Bog village. It is actually a sort of a village museum showing houses from the past. The entrance fee is 5Euro which I guess is reasonable and the place is nicely maintained.
Landscape Photo moment
Unfortunately I don't remember the name of this stop but it was shortly after we left the village. Very nice place for a picture on a sunny day.
Waterville
little village which was made famous by Charlie Chaplin give you am great view over the Ballinskelligs Bay
and ok, I'll show you also the statue of Charlie ;) .. his house is a bit down the road.
Lunch with a view: Scarriff Inn, Caherdaniel, Ireland
from Waterville the drive till where we had lunch is just purely amazing; A constant WOW effect.
and after enjoying the tiny sheep :) we stopped for lunch...
Sneem
one of Ireland's most colorful and charming villages.
Ladies view
is a scenic point along the N71 portion of the Ring of Kerry, in Killarney National Park, Ireland. The name apparently stems from the admiration of the view given by Queen Victoria's ladies-in-waiting during their 1861 visit.
Last stop is at the 18m high Troc waterfall in the âKillarney National Park.
Having said this and with all the pictures I hope you will decide to go for the tour either on your own or with one of the many organized tours in Ireland.
Not to forget. In July there is a bicycle ride (112 miles aka 180 km) organized for charity, if interested I googled the event and you can find more details HERE
