Alghero, Sardinia

it was one day when I felt I am stuck in Belgium and have no further plans for the whole summer and I said, Dear Ryanair give me a great destination and that's how we got to discover beautiful Sardinia. 

It came like a big surprise that a Italian city is actually kind of also Catalan and they have as a second official language Catalan, but yes Alghero has it and you can see it also a lot in the architecture around.  

We stayed a weekend and it was so relaxing. One day we just walked around the streets of Alghero and the second we picked the beach bus and went to another beach in the area.

Day 1 -- Alghero

and of course in the afternoon it was time for the Beach. We stayed for the day in Alghero. 

Food is amazing, make sure you book a lot of time for eating :) and the beer, I know you will say....beer? seriously? In Italy?.....but believe me the Sardinian beer is good! of course the wine and the gelato, all a wonder. 

Day 2 -- Spiaggia delle Bombarde

take the bus from the center, you can find the schedule HERE. In a unexpected way they are actually on time :)...well as we arrived somewhere around noon we said...why not have a beer and some antipasti 

and in the end we ended up trying all the menu :S 

I am not sure what happend with all my pictures unfortunately seems they got lost somewhere anyway if the picture does not describe everything I need to mention that this beach is a mix of wonderful turquoise blue water with white sand and pine treas in the background. even with the crowd it was a wonderful day

i don't know if the company or the place or the company and the place, but for sure Sardinia will be in my travel plans soon again
