Hostel of the Sun, Naples

Great Location - Friendly Staff - Clean Rooms, this would be to list main important aspects you need to take into account when booking the place to stay, and YES the Hostel of the Sun has them all.  

Getting there

Address: Via Guglielmo Melisurgo, 15, 80133 Napoli, Italy

From the airport I recommend taking the bus it is 4 Euro per person if you get the ticket on the bus and it should bring you very close to the Hostel in about 30 min (depending on the time of the day). Follow the sines for Alibus and stop when you see this type of arrow (right picture).

You need to step down at the last stop which is the port  Molo Beverello. It is also easy to spot as it drops you in front of a huge Castle (Catel Nuovo).
For the taxi it should cost you 19 Euro if you ask for the fixed rate, but this will not always work out.

There are no big signs for the hostel outside, it is just a small indication on the building itself next to the street number. The reception is at the 7th floor and you need to ring 51 to get into the building. although the elevator mentions you need to put 5 cents in, we did not have to. 

The Hostel

it is split in a sort of hostel/hotel thing. you can of course have a bed in a dorm or there are several rooms with private bathroom available. the hostel has rooms at several floors, if I don't make a mistake, this would be floors 4,5,6,7 of the building. 

you have a bar, from where you can get drinks (example beer 0.33 - 2 Euro, water 0.5 - 1 Euro) and have some music, a common relaxation room right at reception and a kitchen you can always use & staff is available 24/7 (awesome, right?)

Trips/activities organized by the hostel 

Breakfast 

is free and served between 7:30 and 10:00. it consists of some cheese and salami, toasted bread, yogurt, milk and cereals and jam and Nutella (i might have missed something). Anyway enough to start your day

if you are like one of my friends that joined me in the trip, you might decide to use your 4G instead of connection to the WiFi
