Where to eat in Ljubljana

I Love food, and I love eating out, and I am lucky that most of my friends enjoy food as much, which makes each trip also an amazing gastronomic experience. 

Here our selection of places we tried. 

Le Petit Cafe -- Breakfast

if you search for a Breakfast/Brunch place, this is definitely for you. Super friendly and nice staff and great food. 

Slovenska Hisa -- Breakfast/Brunch

This is more of a snacking place, if you like ordering loads of cheese or meat boards, you for have to try it out! Till 12 they also offer egg based dishes but in the afternoon you have only appetizers, BUT they are sooooo sooo good, seriously, and the staff ultra friendly and funny. 

Pivnica Union -- Dinner

If you like PUB food and the PUB feeling, you'll for sure like this place. I was impressed with the flexibility of the staff there. Not sure if it was just lucky as I read some bad reviews, but honestly, they were super nice. The food is typical PUB food and you can get endless beer.

All types of food, you'll find here. The staff was not as friendly as we got used to in Slovenia, but super professional. The food was excellent and it has a wide range of food courses. Btw, if you want to order a full piglet, you need to let them know in advance. 

Street Food

As in all cities, street food is a very important aspect of the local gastronomy. Here some of the things we found around in Ljubljana (Xmas Martket)

If you stay longer, I am sure you'll find even more places. Want I want to say and highlight is that the food experience in Slovenia is absolutely outstanding.
