Gent Xmas Market

Under the tag Gentse Winterfeesten, Gent dressed up in Xmas Cloths decorating the city with lights, but the main action is spread out from Sint-Baafsplein, along the Botermarkt and Klein Turkije to the end of the Korenmarkt. 

You can spend quite some time around the market if you enjoy Xmas Market food, carols and people and souvenirs. Some of the highlights listed below.

There are loads of options for gifts, from warm hats and gloves, up till spicy sauces for your crazy friends 

The Food 

There is no Xmas Market without Bratwurst, but my top favorite is the fire grilled salmon. 

Even though Christmas Markets became a bit too touristy in some places and consequently the quality of the products has decreased, it is a clear that you must visit at least one one them during the winter holidays.
