It's been a long time I wanted to visit Alberobello and so this is when I realized that Puglia is a less traveled Italian gem. So I started researching what you can do in one week. What i can tell you from the start is that one week is not enough and so I will be back, but till that moment, here you go my wonderful time in Puglia & Matera (Basilicata)

You can view the map in full if you want the plan more in details. We arrived in Bari on a Thursday Morning (10 AM, rented a car and left towards Polignano al Mare). And left from Bari on a Wednesday Morning (10 AM). We slept in Bari due to some personal arrangements, but if you come from Matera I would sleep in Matera and drive to Bari in the morning.

Spain is a wonderful country but most of the people aim to only visit Barcelona and Madrid and maybe the south, but the North is so absolutely amazing and spectacular. Here you have a 2 week itinerary on how to see the north of Spain.

Oh Greece, the crystal blue water, the wonderful food and the friendly people, we all heard of it but let's have a look on what a few days in Greece would look like. 

Malta is an awesome destination with lovely people and gorgeous places. And as it is not very big you can easily go across the country buy bus/taxi.

Below you can see how our trip looked like. It was not too tiring but we did manage to see a bit of the country and leaving more for next time.

For who is following me for a while now, will know that I like going on roadtrips and trying to make an experience also from the road itself. So here to get an idea on how to split your trio to Slovenia from Belgium by car

Heildeberg to Ljubljana takes for another 752 km and approx 8-8:30h driving with stops

! Don't forget you need to pay Vignette for

• ​Austria: 8.8€
• Slovenia: 7.5€

There are also 2 tunnels to be paid if I remember correctly one in Austria (11.5€) and one in Slovenia (7.2€). Prices might change over time, but you have an approximation. 

In Slovenia we did a day trip to Vintgar Gorge and to Bled in total km were 123 and the whole drive would take about 2h (this does not include potential traffic jams of course)

On the way back, we decided to stop in München, where you have 405km and approx time of 5h

and our last leg back to Belgium, we usually go via Aachen, but here what google suggests. 

One week and 2600 km... :) Happy Driving! 

Now, getting into more details. I'll split this in 2, namely:

• week 1: Maramures - Bucovina
• week 2: Moldova - Danube Delta 

We will be doing the trip by car, so we will drive from Belgium all the way. For who would be coming by plane suggested airports for this trip would be Budapest (HU) or Cluj Napoca(RO). I recommend renting a car once in Romania, but if you land in Budapest (HU) I researched a bit online and you have rent-a-car companies that allow you to return the car in Bucharest (RO) (example: Europcar) in this case as you can have more flexibility. Alternatively you can check TRAIN connections (cfrcalatori.ro) or BUS connections (autogari.ro)

all EU citizens only need an ID or passport to enter Romania (you still have border control!). If you are not an EU citizen you might require a VISA. Here you can get the latest information on this topic.

From Bucharest, you can either drive back (which is long) or you can take a plane, The 2 Romanian airlines are Tarom and the "low cost" Blue Air

the trip (Oradea - Bucharest) is approx 2000 km and you can check gas costs on peco-online
